Lessons For Beginners

If you're just getting started I can give you the clear guidance and support that you simply can't get from something like a book or youtube video. I see very often people who are self taught come to me because of some serious underlying fault in their playing or technique that they simply had no way of knowing. It then becomes a massive task to go back and re-learn basic core techniques. Please get a tutor when you're starting out so you can get a clear grasp of the basics before you go it alone.

When you're a beginner, lessons will often be based around learning fun and easy songs that build up all the core skills that you'll need for progressing further, with all the tips and tricks along the way that will let advance to higher levels of difficulty later on.

Lessons For Intermediate / Advanced Players

If you're a more experienced player and want help moving on to the next stage with your music please give me a call. Whether it's doing your next grading, getting back into playing after a long break, wanting to work on a specific genre or technique, I should be able to help you.

If you're an advanced player looking to improve a specific aspect of your playing, possibly considering the RGT diplomas or getting into teaching yourself, then I'd love to hear from you. Especially if it's in a genre I specialise in like blues or jazz.

Grading

Grades are a great way for you to keep focused and to gauge your progress as you learn. For those who wish to gain a qualification I am a member of the RGT (Registry of Guitar Tutors) and I am familiar with the acoustic, electric and rock syllabuses at all grades as well as the rock and jazz RGT diplomas and the popular music theory grades.

Lessons For Fun

If you think that a slower, less demanding pace of learning would suit you, with an emphasis on fun, enjoyable lesson material then this is something I'm happy to accommodate. It's particularly recommended if practise time is very limited. Music lessons like this are a great way to grab a break from a demanding work and family schedule and have an opportunity to not only have time for yourself but to also rediscover your more creative side.
